"The word Amethyst is taken from the Greek word Amethystos which means non-intoxicated. Many struggle with so many different things physically, mentally, and emotionally every day and though the holidays is a time of happiness and joy to so many, it's also an extremely difficult time for so many. Amethyst was looked at as a protector. A stone that would help keep your strength, keep your mind in a state of clarity, and keep you safe. I would want this piece to be something those who wear it can look at as a reminder of one's promises to themselves. The ring one could look to in times of wariness as a promise of clarity, a promise to avoid the poisons (which come in many forms) that would do harm to oneself or to others. Do not doubt your strength or courage. This ring is a promise to oneself, but it is also a reminder of your strength, which is limitless."
